Whether it be through touch therapy or plant-based therapy, individual client care is our highest priority.
Here at the Feet Retreat, we have holistic healing at our heart. We recognise that taking true care of yourself can actually be quite challenging in this busy modern life. That’s where we hope our care and complimentary therapies can lend a helping hand.
When working with clients, we’ve realised just how transformative restoring our own energy centres can be, and we want to work with you so you can reap the benefits too.
Our human body is a beautiful thing, manual stimulation of reflex points combined with innate chemical signalling in the brain can really boost your immune system and even your metabolic rate. By treating your feet, we help you take small steps towards physical health and giant strides towards emotional wellbeing.
We are a small client focused company, who strive for excellence in the service we provide. We cannot diagnose and we cannot cure, but we will always endeavour to fully listen to your needs and implement the best course of treatment for you.
We are Certified by VTCT (to level 3) and are a member of the AoR and FHT. We are also insured with the FHT. Membership of these associations ensures rigorous training standards and encouraged CPD so we can be trusted to ensure you get the most of your treatment.
All our clients can expect to be cared for and respected and any information they share with us is treated in the strictest confidence. Any personal information is kept strictly between our clients and whichever of our skilled therapists they are booked in with.
Close your eyes for a minute, take a deep breath, and imagine you are stood barefoot on the seashore. The sound of the surf is breaking and you can taste the subtle hint of salt in the air.
There is the slightest whisper of a breeze, and you can feel the gentle teasing pull of the waves as the water laps around your feet, and thousands of grains of wet, cool sand slip between your toes as you curl them in response.
Change now to an arguably less than relaxing memory you may have, one of trying to cross a mossy riverbed of cobblestones. You know the feeling, trying to stay relatively dry and at the very least upright as your toes slip and struggle for purchase on the slimy and slippery stones.
For those land lovers amongst us, what about the feel of soft, tickly, green meadow grass on a warm summer's day, the dry earth beneath your feet, and the grass still cool from the morning shade. Can you feel it?
Did you know; you have over 7000 nerve endings in your feet alone? That’s more per square inch than in any other part of your body!
Be honest when was the last time you stopped to look at your feet? Not sure?
Ok then another question - when was the last time you actually stopped?!
Ok, we know modern life does not allow for much barefoot time. If we’re honest, it doesn't allow much time for closing your eyes and dreaming either!
But consider this, our feet are so protected by our modern footwear that our 7000 nerve endings become a little lazy, less tuned in. By stimulating these finely tuned pathways via reflex points, we can help reawaken the connections within our human body. From our posture to our vagus nerve, and our endocrine system, reflexology can help promote true health and well-being.
